Job Description:
The Fixed Income Associate will have significant opportunities
for learning and professional growth within the firm, gaining cross
functional knowledge in investment management. The person in this
role will undertake a range of responsibilities, including
research, analysis, trading, and operational support. In addition,
the individual will help manage fixed income assets in alignment
with client guidelines. S(he) will partner with advisors to
understand the needs of clients and prospective clients and build
presentations to articulate investment solutions. While the role
will focus on institutional clients, there will be overlap with
wealth management work for private clients. The role provides a
significant opportunity for growth within the firm over time with
multiple career paths.Position Responsibilities:Client Reporting &
Business Development Support
- Assist the team in updating quarterly fixed income market
outlook and commentary.
- Lead the completion of quarterly and annual information
requests from existing clients and partners.
- Regularly distribute Bartlett's fixed income strategy
information and performance details to key consultants and
institutional partners.
- Quarterback the completion of institutional RFPs and related
information requests by establishing relationships with departments
across the firm.
- Update and maintain institutional-related marketing and RFP
materials.
- Ensure the integrity of Bartlett's brand, message, and client
data in all presentation materials and client review pages.
- Produce various periodic reports and handle special projects as
needed.Strategy Implementation
- Support senior staff with day-to-day management of fixed income
portfolios, including but not limited to matching portfolios to
their associated models, monitoring cash levels, identifying new
opportunities, and trade execution.
- Develop and maintain customized portfolio analysis utilizing
software including Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, and other
internal portfolio accounting and trading systems.
- Maintain and regularly update an internal list of the
fixed-income team's favored investments with pricing, credit
ratings, and related information.
- Maintain broad knowledge of financial markets, current events,
and economic trends, and evaluate their effects on Bartlett's fixed
income investment strategies.
- Conduct research and analysis across the firm's fixed-income
holdings and effectively communicate findings to the broader
team.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Operations, Technology, Investment, and Marketing teams and develop

people in a professional manner, both orally and written. The
ability to creatively enhance data through storytelling.
- Strong organizational/process management skills with the
ability to prioritize work.
- Have a sense of urgency and keen attention to detail.
- Analytical ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.
- High regard for confidentiality.
- Show innovative and creative thinking. Fundamental
understanding of various asset classes including equity, fixed
income, and alternatives.Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (Finance, Economics, or
other business degree is preferred).
- Knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies, and the
institutional investment landscape.
- Pursuing the CFA or having an interest in doing so, is highly
desirable.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with a financial services
firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions, especially Excel,
PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience and familiarity working with Morningstar Direct, and
Bloomberg is preferred.What we offer:
