Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Printed Packaging Specialist for a contract position in Cincinnati, OH. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage the global print supply chain, from design to production, ensuring quality standards and resolving issues.
This role involves cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Purchasing, MPD, and Package Development to evaluate printers and maintain alignment with Print Quality Programs.
The candidate will lead regular reviews with suppliers and business partners, developing improvement plans and conducting root cause analyses of print quality issues in collaboration with Package Development.
The role also requires utilizing the latest pre-press and packaging software, as well as digital technologies, to present solutions and options to the business.


Qualifications:

Coordination of timelines and deliverables
Client experience
Cross-functional collaboration
Deep understanding of pre-press and printing, artwork file industry standards, print production, print processes and press capabilities, inks, materials/substrates, specialty inks/finishes, proofing, and print trials
In-depth understanding of the E2E packaging process, supply chain capabilities, fit for use considerations and requirements, and how production/execution engages throughout the process to ensure/enable print feasibility and design intent delivery
Solid understanding of design, the design creative process, brand equity, design assets, brand identity systems, production guidelines, and the importance of visual consistency in design intent & print quality


Preferred:

5 years of experience in a similar role
7 years of full-time design work experience (outside of freelance work)
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Graphic Design
Strong portfolio demonstrating a superb sense of aesthetics, package design, design layout, brand identity, and prototyping
