The Sr. Buyer is a critical role in Kutol's manufacturing plant and is responsible for advanced levels of sourcing, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to procure manufacturing materials. This role requires experience with ERP in a manufacturing setting and will have high emphasis on managing supply chains as they relate to on-time fulfillment, quality standards, and inventory strategies. The Sr. Buyer will collaborate cross-functionally within Supply Chain, Quality, Production, and RD&I to successfully achieve the operational goals of the organization.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

Review net requirements in ERP daily, utilize additional decision-making tools and data to make buying decisions.
Maintain optimal inventory levels that align with Kutol's strategy and Days Inventory Outstanding metrics.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for cost optimization.
Monitor commodity indexes to identify relevant upstream and downstream drivers for raw materials as needed.
Create, review and process purchase orders.
Develop and nurture supplier relationships to mitigate risk, secure competitive pricing, and uphold quality standards.
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain cost-effective means to procure assigned goods.
Issue RFQ's, understand pricing and market drivers.
Use data and data analysis to support goal setting and department metrics.
Work with Quality to establish specs and quality standards for suppliers, and to support material defect and CAPA investigations.
Work closely with key stakeholders and department leadership on projects from innovation to saleable goods.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree plus 2 years chemical buying experience, or equivalent related work experience.
Strong familiarity with ERP/MRP software and logic.
Demonstrated negotiation skills and experience in supplier relationship management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (i.e. Word & Excel)
