Gateway Logistics, Inc. is looking for a full-time, experienced Accounting Manager, in Cincinnati, OH! This person will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company.


What You Will Do:

Oversees the operations of the Accounting Department which currently includes one direct report.
Mentor and develop team members and delegates tasks based on abilities.
Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
Responsible for regular reconciliation of general ledger to verify that all transactions are correctly categorized and balanced.
Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Manages daily cashflow and prepares cash forecasts
Monitors benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.
Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
Provides financial analysis and recommends strategies to enhance profitability or reduce expenses.
Assists with negotiation and implementation of insurance strategies.
Involved with the corporate banking relationship and reporting.
Member of the management team with the ability to think strategically.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

What You'll Need:

Five years or more of related experience required.
Excellent management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
Certified Public Accountant designation preferred but not required.
Transportation experience a plus
Experience with Microsoft Power BI a plus
