Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Design and Development:
Define the physical configuration optimized to convert mechanical
inputs into an energized electrical system that produces
electricity.
Define and implement the requirements and configuration of the
electrical systems and components, concentrating on the integration
of temperature, speed, and position feedback sensors essential for
precise engine control.
Develop comprehensive system integration concepts.
RISE Program Involvement:
Contribute to the RISE Program by developing innovative and
sustainable electrical components for next-generation engines.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration
of cutting-edge technologies that support our sustainability
goals.
Technical Improvement:
Develop specialized knowledge in your discipline, serving as a best
practice and quality resource.
Keep abreast of the latest technical developments in your area,
contributing towards strategy and policy development to ensure
delivery within your area of responsibility.
Have in-depth knowledge of best practices and understand how your
area integrates with others, including working knowledge of the
competition and the factors that differentiate them in the
market.
Decision Making and Problem Solving:
Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or
problems in areas such as operational/product management,
manufacturing, technology, or engineering.
Take a new perspective on existing solutions, using technical
experience and expertise for data analysis to support
recommendations.
Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside your own
function to arrive at decisions.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience, potentially
leading small projects with moderate risks and resource
requirements.
Explain difficult or sensitive information clearly and work to
build consensus.
Develop and utilize persuasion skills to influence others on topics
within your field.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or
college.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering.
Desired Characteristics
Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or
college.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Proven ability to lead programs and projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Established project management skills.
